Elizabeth Jennings - Swim Lesson and Summer Programs Director

Coach Elizabeth Jennings grew up in the Mobile area and has many years experience in the aquatics field. Upon graduating from Huntingdon College, she and her husband Pete moved to Birmingham where she worked for two years as an Aquatics Director for the YWCA. Elizabeth left there to work as an Assistant Health, Physical Education & Fitness Director and Director of Aquatics at the Jewish Community Center. She taught P.E. and fitness classes, swim lessons, water safety and lifeguard training, as well as maintained and supervised two pools year-round for 6 1/2 years.  After Pete and Elizabeth's son Chris was born, they relocated to Daphne to be closer to home. She then taught swim lessons at the Lake Forest pool for one year until she began to teach private swim lessons, which she has done on for the last ten years.

Elizabeth also teaches P.E. at W. J. Carroll Intermediate School. She loves her job and working with children. Her son Chris is now fifteen and really loves swimming and being a part of the new SWAT year round program. With her many years of swim lesson experience, Elizabeth is very excited about being back in the water and hopes that with her strong background, she will bring a lot to the table for the Eastern Shore Aquatics Center.
